The month of September has been busy for the Rescue several crashes on Rt. 46 sending multiple people to the hospital. along with 3 or 4 minor crashes there was 2 rollover a head on and a crash that required extrication of 1 person. Please drive with caution be alert and not distracted.
The fire department participated in the first Mt. Olive celebrate mount olive parade. Saturday morning members traveled to the Sussex County Fire Acadamy for some training in the flashover simulator. The training teaches firefighter abought flashover the signs and what look out for. Just after midnight Sunday morning Tender 57 and Car 50 were dispatched to assist Byram Twp. on interstate 80 for a tractor trailer fire. 57 Arrived and stood by for water supply if needed units cleared within a half hour. The fire was brought under control just before our arrival.
Friday night a request came in from Roxbury Fire for Tender 57 to assist with a Tractor Trailer on fire on interstate 80 east at 28 mm. Tender 57, car 51 and 52 responded and 57 provide water to Roxbury’s E-12. Units remained on scene for around 2 hr.
