Recently firefighters were dispatched to waterloo rd. for a brush fire started by down power lines Chief 50, 51, 52 and Engine 53 responded and waited for J.C.P. & L arrived and shut down the power. Engine 53 then used a trash line and put out the remaining fire. Power was restored later that day.

Firefighters recently trained on a new piece of equipment presented by FF-1. Crews from around the area took turns trying out a new sled used for firefighter rescue. Squad 56 and Car 50 responded to a crash in front of Budd Lake Transmission 2 car were involved all 5 people were not hurt and refused medical treatment. Squad 56 cleaned up the roadway and all lanes were reopened within a half hour.
