Early Tuesday morning, crews were dispatched for a reported oven fire at Eagle Rock Village. FD-1 arrived on scene and reported a working fire on the second floor.
Car 50 and Engine 53 arrived shortly afterward. Engine 53 stretched a hose line and quickly knocked down the fire, keeping it contained to the kitchen area.
Crews from Flanders Tower 96 assisted with overhaul and ventilation. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office and the Mount Olive Police Department.
Great work by all crews involved in quickly bringing the fire under control and preventing further damage.
