Tuesday late morning a vehicle traveling east on rt. 46 by the 7-11 lost a 5 gal. bucket of paint crashing onto the road. Luckily 2 Police officers were passing behind and were able to stop traffic and avoided further cars from running through. Engine 53 was called to wash off the paint before it dried. Crews washed the paint to the side of the highway blocking off storm drains the called the NJ Department of Transportation to came out and finish the cleanup. One hour later the highway was reopened.
