Sunday afternoon April 22nd Firefighters were called to Stevens State Park by trail A for a report of a fire. Units found a one acre brush fire burning crews stretched hose and used rakes and bladder bags to control the fire. The New Jersey State Forest Fire Service was also on scene to assist with extinguishing the fire. The fire department cleaned up within an hour as forest fire remained on the scene for several hours to make sure all fire was out.
