The beginning of the week Tender 57 and Car 52 responded into Byram for a house fire. Both units arrived and stood by and were released within a half hour.

The Rescue had another busy month of car crashes 14 for the month. Between Rt. 80, 46 and some local streets there were several car crashes the required our responses 2 extractions and several required spill cleanups. All crashes were no life threating injuries. Tuesday late morning a vehicle traveling east on rt. 46 by the 7-11 lost a 5 gal. bucket of paint crashing onto the road. Tender 57 and Car52 responded to a house fire in Hopatcong the tender arrived and staged then was released. Car 52 went to the command post and stood by before being released.

Around lunch time Monday calls came in for smoke and arching from the roof of the mall at 206 in the Flanders section. Cars 50, 52 and 91 arrived along with Tower 96 and Engine 53 and went to the rear. T 96 laddered the roof while E-53 secured the power to a heating system … Read more

Recently the Tender along with Car 52 responded to Washington Twp. for a house fire. Tender 57 stood by at the scene then was released after a half hour.

The department participated in local government visit by the 3rd graders from Chester M. Stephen School kids toured the Municipal Building then out to see the police, Fire and Ambulances. It is great to see the kids learning.

The month of May may have brought flowers but also many car accidents. The Rescue responded to several crashes most minor injuries a few were had some more serious injuries. The jaws of life were used 3 times please drive with caution and don’t be distracted.
