Firefighters Extinguish Small Fire on Rt. 80

During the recent dry spell firefighters responded to the Rt. 46 ramp to Rt. 80 for a brush fire Engine 53 used a water can and some rakes to quickly put out the small fire and returned to service within 20 minutes.

Squad 56 handles some recent Crashes

The fire department keep busy with a few car crashes around town Squad 56 responded to these crashes and cleaned up debris there were no serious injuries at the crashes.

Budd Lake Fire Drill with Air Bags

This past month firefighters held a drill on their new air bags that were just placed in service. Crews practiced raising and lowing them as well as placement under vehicles and also a new tractor trailer air bag. The new equipment will enhance our capability on a very busy Route 80 and 46.
