Just as crews arrived at Turkey Brook for the food truck event a call came in for an animal rescue on Indian Spring Rd. Animal control officer Zeller requested the fire department to assist with removing a Halk from a guide pole on a fire hydrant. Engine 53 and Car 50 responded the large bird had its wing stuck on the pole firefighters bent the pole back and helped pull the bird to safety. The animal control warden took the bird to a refuge place for treatment.
