Friday just before lunch calls came in from a homeowner in the 300 block of Winding Hill Dr. for a dryer on fire with smoke and flames from the dryer. FM-3 arrived and reported a smoke condition and after entering the home a second alarm was transmitted. Car 51 took command and had Flanders Engine 95 hit a hydrant and lay into the scene and stretch a line to the second floor. Flanders Tower 96 and Budd Lake Engine 59 arrived and assisted with venting and overhauling. Mutual aid companies stood by as rapid intervention and station coverage for fire and EMS. The fire is under investigation by the Mount Olive Police and the Fire Marshal’s office. No injuries were reported.
