The Budd Lake Fire and Flanders Fire Companies teamed up with departments from all over NJ to take part in an Ice Rescue Class given by Safety and Survival Training and sponsored by the Budd Lake Fire Department. Friday night and Saturday morning the students were trained indoors on equipment and procedures. Saturday afternoon was operations on the lake with Sunday the technician part with each group taking turns rescuing people from the broken ice.
