Friday late morning calls came in for a car crash on Interstate 80 West at exit 25. Car 50 and Rescue 55 responded and found a car that had veered off the road and left the roadway and landed 75 feet into a ravine. Sadly, the driver did not survive the crash. The New Jersey State Police conducted an investigation as crews stood by. As the investigation was complete the rescue assisted the medical examiner in body recovery then assisted the tow company as they retrieved the car. There were no other injuries.
