Recently the department was dispatched to a small farm on Drakestown Rd. to assist with a horse that was stuck in a muddy field. Upon arrival of Car 50, 51 and 52 along with Rescue 55 the crews stood by as a veterinarian gave an assessment of the horse and sadly the animal did not survive after getting out of the barn and falling in the field. The Rescue and with the help of UTV 1 assisted the owners with safely removing the horse to a safe area so the proper group could remove the horse.
