Recently we were dispatched to back to back fires, the first one was on Clinton Ave a small fire under a porch Engine 53 and Flanders Eng. 95 stretched a hand line out and quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension. Netcong fire was dispatched as a rapid intervention crew, just as we were rapping up a second call came in for a fire in an apartment building in Hesnsyn Village crews found a bag of clothes in the bathtub on fire a line was stretched and the fire quickly put out. No injuries were reported and a huge thank you to Netcong Fire for the assist on both fires. A few days later we returned the favor to Netcong by providing Rapid Intervention for a small electrical fire in their town.
