The department was out at all the elementary schools and day cares in our 1st due district teaching fire safety to all the kids. Showing them the equipment and making sure they were comfortable with firemen dressed in turnout gear and breathing masks on, so they don’t get scared in a real situation and making sure they tell their parents to check their smoke detectors when they get home. We also took part in Lowes Safety Day.
