Overturned Livestock Truck Rt. 80

Very early Thursday morning around 3 am the department was dispatched to Route 80 East @ 23.4 for a rolled over truck. Cars 50, 51 and 52 arrived and had a live stock tractor trailer on its side with the driver pined inside and hauling 38 cows to a slaughter house. Rescue 55 was assigned to set up for extraction of the driver from the cab. The front windshield was cut and spread open to remove the driver and then transported to Morristown Hospital with non-life threating injuries. There was a fuel spill on the highway that was contained by R-55. Crews remained on scene till the scene was secured and 2 lanes were opened a special company was called to remove the cows from the trailer so the truck could be up righted.
