Recently the Budd Lake Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire on Interstate 80 west around MM 24. Car 50 and Engine 59 along with Tender 57 responded and found a well involved SUV on the side of the highway. 59 stretched their bumper line on the fire and knocked the fire down and a small brush fire as well. There were no injuries and the highway was back to normal within a half hour.
