Ladder 58 and Flanders Rescue 97 assisted with Rapid Intervention. Around 11 am Saturday morning Independence Twp. Fire was sent to the 100 block of Rt. 46 for a house fire. The crews arrived and had a well involved garage fire with extension to the house, a 1st alarm box was struck bringing MA to the scene and station coverage. Independence engine and a Hackettstown engine made the long and winding driveway as others had to hike up the long driveway. Allamuchy fire had the hydrant at the bottom of the driveway. Mt. Olive, Washington Bro, and Belvedere fire were assigned as rapid intervention crews. Other Warren County companies as well as EMS maned stations and provided manpower. Crews were released abought 3 or 4 hours later.
