Recently the department was dispatched to the UPS Wearhouse on Waterloo Valley Rd. for a fire inside the building upon arrival of Cars 50 and 51 there was a box on fire on a table inside the building. Engine 53 Ladder 58 came in and put out the fire and removed the box that was a battery. Tower 96 and other Flanders Fire units set up a vent to remove the smoke. Netcong Fire was dispatched as a Rapid Intervention Assignment. Crews removed the battery and secured it for the company to have a Hazmat company remove and dispose of it. All units cleared the scene within 2 hours, Mount Olive Police and Fire Marshal’s office are investigating the fire there was one minor injurie to and employee, but he was treated and released.
