Busy 4th for Firefighters

Starting just after dinner a fire alarm came in on Dogwood Dr. which was just cooking then around 7 pm a call came in for a house fire on Foothill Rd. crews responded and found a fire in the oven with a heavy smoke condition, crew vented, and all units cleared. After relaxing for a while, a call came in for a fire behind the Village Green Maintenance garage with the first arriving units Car 50 and 51 found a 30-yard dumpster was burning E-53, Tender 57 and E-59 used a inch and three-quarter line and extinguished the fire. The crews were back in station cleaning up and repacking hose when a call came in for a house fire on Baker Ln. Car 50 and 51 arrived and found heavy fire on the side of the house and a car with some extension into the house. E-53 and E-59 came in and stretched 2 hose lines onto the fire as Police and car 51 made sure all occupants were out of the house. Several mutual aid companies were on scene to assist. All units cleared around 2:30 am when a fire alarm came in for a house on Winding Hill Dr. units found a bad detector and all unit’s finial returned to their bed by 3:30 am.
