After 9 pm on Sunday night the department was called to the end of Mine Hill Rd. for a brush fire Car 50 reported a 50 x 200 brush fire in the wood next to the house. Engine 59, Utility 54 and car 51 arrive and used a 300-foot trash line to extinguish the fire along with a power wagon from NJ Forest Fire Service. The fire was brought under control within a half hour after some mop up crews returned and the forest fire service remained on scene for a little while longer. There were no injuries at the scene and no damage to the house.
