Thursday afternoon the department was dispatched to the Stanhope Union Cemetery on Continental Dr. for a brush fire upon the arrival of car 51 the fire had extended to 200 x 300 feet of grass burring around grave markers. Engine 53 arrived along with NJ Forest Fire and stretched forestry hose lines on the fire. Engine 95 and Brush 98 from Flanders Fire also assisted. The fire was knocked down within 15 minutes. There were no injuries reported and the forestry service is investigating.
