Tuesday started with an Alarm then a 2-car crash in front of the fire station. The members started their weekly drill night at 7 pm by cleaning all trucks and equipment. Just after the drill ended a call came in for an overturned car into the woods next to the CVS store on rt. 46. While getting ready to respond a second call came in for a kitchen fire on Iroquois Trail Car 51 and 52 responded to that call while Car 50 stayed with the crash. Rescue 55 with 5 members responded to the crash as Engine 53 with 5 members responded to the fire followed by Engine 59 with 4 members. Car 51 and 52 arrived at the kitchen fire an requested a second alarm for a fire in the kitchen. Mutual aid also responded as well as Flanders Fire, crews stretched a hose line to the house and a supply line was also laid. The fire was quickly put out and there were 2 people taken to the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. Back at the crash rescue 55 secured the car and cut down some trees so the tow truck could remove the car. The driver was transported to an area hospital.
