Firefighters were up early around 3 am for a report of a tractor trailer on its side on route 80 east at MM 22.4. Car 51 and Rescue 55 arrived and had a truck that lost control and slid on its side through a 35-foot section of guardrail. Budd Lake First Aid Squad checked the driver and he refused medical attention. Rescue 55 checked for any leaks and secured the truck, the tow company arrived and also the NJDOT who shut down 2 lanes of the road for cleanup and units were returned within an hour.
