The fire department was dispatched to the area of Kings Court off Smithtown Rd. for smoke in the area, Car 50 arrived and found an open burn in a back yard that had to be extinguished do to red flag warnings and not an approved fire pit. Engine 53 and 59 used a 1-inch hose line to put out the fire and returned to service within a half hour.
