Mt. Olive Fire Assists Chester

As the end of 2017 was winding down The Chester Fire Company responded to Prides Crossing for a report of a house fire. First arriving units found the garage and the back half of the house ingulfed in fire crew stretched hand lines in different areas of the house knocking down fire and dealing with some hording conditions. There were no hydrant’s in the area so a Tender Task force was called in to bring water to the scene along with a second alarm for manpower and Rapid Intervention Crews, station coverage and rehab units due to below freezing temps. The fire was brought under control within and hour crews remained on scene well into the morning hours, there was 1 firefighter transported to the hospital with a knee injuria. The Chester Police and Morris County Prosecutor are investigating the fire. Budd Lake provided a Tender and Engine and Flanders Provided an Engine.
