Budd Lake Fire Assists Hackettstown

Friday morning March 31st around 11:20 am calls came in to Warren County 911 center for smoke coming from a house on Morgan Terrace upon arrival of first due units a working fire was called and the 1st alarm box was requested brining Tri County, Independence, Washington Bro. Fire Companies and Budd Lake Fire as the Rapid Intervention Crew. The first in engine stretched a line to the second-floor rear bedroom where fire was venting out the rear windows as the second in crew hit a hydrant and pulled a second line the bulk of the fire was knocked down within minutes but crew had to open the roof and pull a lot of celling on the 1st and 2nd floors. During the searches a family cat was rescued from the home there was a younger male home at the time of the fire but escaped unharmed. The fire is under investigation by the Warren County Fire and Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s offices there were no injuries at the scene.
