Firefighters trained on the lake preparing for all the activity that goes on this time of year so Now that Budd Lake is finally freezing over please use caution and remember to dress accordingly and to bring the proper equipment with you. Personal flotation device, ice picks and a whistle are a good start. Always let someone know that you will be going out on the ice and don't go out on the ice after dark. No ice is ever truly safe to be on.
