Budd Lake Responds to Rt. 80 for a Brush Fire

Engine 59 and Chief 50 and 51 responded to west bound Rt. 80 for a brush fire units arrived and found a 50 foot wide by 300 foot long fire spreading the center medium Engine 59 along with units from the New Jersey State Forest Fire Service stretched 1 inch lines and started extinguishing the fire on both sides of the highway. New Jersey State Police closed one lane in both directions so firefighters could work safely the fire was under control within a half hour and the road was reopened.
