Sunday morning firefighters were called to Baker Lane for a report of smoke coming from the rear of the house Car 51 arrived an reported a fire in the rear deck and had Engine 53 pull a hose line and a chain saw to the rear of the home. Car 52 arrived and had command of the rear Engine 59 and Engine 95 assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the fire. The fire was under control within 15 min. The fire was contained to the outside deck with no damage to the home. The fire is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and Fire Marshal’s office. Budd Lake and Flanders First Aid stood by along with Squad 56.
