Thursday early evening April 9th calls started coming in from the extended stay hotel on international dr. in the Budd Lake Section for a truck on fire in the rear of the building. Car 52 was the first to arrive and had a box truck full of flowers on fire and quickly called for Flanders Fire to assist with one engine. First due Engine 59 pulled their front bumper line just as Engine 95 pulled in and assisted the crew with knocking down the fire and supplying a fed line to 59. The fire was contained to the back half of the truck but the flowers were all destroyed along with the rear of the box truck. There were no injuries and the fire possible was started by heaters installed in the rear of the truck. The fire is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and Fire Marshal’s Office.
