Monday December 29th just before 2 pm Mt. Olive Dispatchers received several calls for a car on fire in the driveway of 4 River Road smoke could be scene from a distance as units arrived and confirmed a working car fire near the residence. Flanders Engine 95 arrived and stretched an inch and three quarter hand line and started knocking down the fire as Budd Lake Engine 59 came in and feed 95 engine with a supply line and there crew was sent to pull siding that had melted and also check the garage for extension. The fire was placed under control within fifteen minutes there was some melting of the siding on the house but no damage to the garage and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation by the Mt. Olive Police and Fire Marshal.
