Mt. Olive High School held there fall sports bon fire and pep rally at the old Blue Atlas grounds. The firefighters from Budd Lake and Flanders started and extinguished the fire it was a good night for school spirit.

Flanders and Budd Lake Firefighters were stretched thin as a third round of flooding this time worse than the hurricane. This time firefighters rescued 5 people from cars stranded in water and pumped another 150 basements.
Firefighters assisted EMS and Police as a driver lost control of his SUV turning onto Netcong Rd. from Rt. 46 the driver and two children were transported to Hackettstown Hospital.
