Wednesday afternoon Roxbury Township fire companies one two and three were dispatched to Rt. 80 West at mm 28.2 just after exit 28 for a motor vehicle crash with a truck on fire. Chief one arrived to find a tractor-trailer had crashed into a New Jersey State Department of Transportation Dump Truck and was on fire also a car was flipped over on the highway as well. The Chief quickly called for the Budd Lake Fire and Mt. Arlington Fire Companies to respond with there Tender’s for extra water. Crews from Roxbury Co. 1and 2 stretched two hand lines and had the fire knocked down in fifteen minuets but overhaul lasted abought an hour. A hazmat company was also on scene to assist with cleaning up abought 50 gallons of diesel fuel that leaked from the tractor. Only one injury was reported at the scene and the highway was reopened around 4:00 pm.
