Rt. 80 Crash Flies Two

Thursday afternoon August 27th Budd Lake Fire and First Aid responded to Rt. 80 at mile marker 25 west for an overturned car. Atlantic Health Care’s EMS 5 arrived first and reported an suv overturned with three injuries and requested the volunteer rigs to respond also. Car 50 arrived and assumed command of the incident and requested two helicopters to fly for two patients with loss of consciousness. Squad Co. 56 assisted EMS and secured the car that was stuck on the guardrail. Ambulances from Budd Lake and Flanders assisted Atlantic Ambulance with the transport of patients while engine 53 covered the helicopter landing. The third patient was taken by ground to Hackettstown Hospital.
