Tuesday night October 7th the Budd Lake Fire and Rescue Squads responded to Rt. 80 East at mm 23 for the overturned tractor trailer. First arriving units found a tractor trailer on it side loaded with beef, the driver had minor injuries and lucky as the trailer was laying on top of the guardrail and cut through the center of the trailer. After securing a fuel leak from the tractor crews waited for the tow company to upright the tractor. The trailer was a tougher task fire crews had to cut the guardrail out from the middle of the truck so the NJ DOT could off load the trailer full of beef. The roadway was down to one lane for several hours until the mess was cleaned up.
